2 months

by Dana on April 12, 2012

We hit a little milestone this week.
Our little girl is growing bigger, stronger, and still has a full head of hair….which I’m kind of shocked by. But there’s definitely blond coming in underneath.
Then her hair will be opposite of mine: light roots; dark ends.
Her eyes are looking more blue and less gray.
She’s awake for longer stretches during the day and sleeps great at night.
She has major fussy periods in the evenings that drive me insane (something I’d forgotten about with newborns and can’t wait to move past).
But when she’s in a good mood she coos and smiles.
And we sort of forget what she was squawking about.
Oh little Clara.
You’ve got a lot of life ahead of you.
and thus, the photo montage begins….

She’s so cute, Dana! That evening fussy period is the worst–makes you seriously think about selling them to the gypsies! Luckily it doesn’t last forever…thank goodness!

Awww! My baby boy’s hair never fell out and he was blond with brown tips (about 2 inches) for a long time. It was so cute!

Oh so beautiful – Happy 2 months small girl! I love how you can really see her eyes focusing in the second one – she’s left that “What the heck is going on??” stage and is dialed right in – awesome awesome. Love it!

Wow – amazing how much they change so fast – oh yeah the fussy evenings I barely remember that although it’s just some months ago (thing the brain forgets so that you get some kids). Enjoy!

It’s amazing how much more present and aware of her surroundings she is compared to last month. This month, her eyes aren’t just staring blankly–they acknowledge you. I love how babies grow more human with each month.

What a doll, Dana!! Thanks for sharing…..love the photo montage. Wish I had done that w/ my kids :) Here is a post from a blog I read about that fussy evening time (also known as the witching hour (I don’t care for the name, but, anywhoo). http://www.babywisemom.com/2009/08/witching-hour.html
She has some tips and some others posts under the label witching hour if you are interested. That is a tough stage that will hopefully pass soon :)

Dana – she’s gorgeous and so friggin cute! Love that you post pics of her so we can all coo over her.

This is my fave age for babies. I love it and miss it so much.

So darling! That little face… My first was predictably fussy in the evenings but the other two weren’t, or maybe I just don’t remember… I think #2 had me up at 3 in the morning instead a few times! I love the photo montage! I did something similar, well at least I took the photos, and it reminds me I need to figure it out! I love little Clara and her name… :-)

Too cute! Love the cheekies! These times will go by fast. I personally love this stage (despite the evening fussiness) because they can’t go anywhere when you smother them with kisses! It’s so hard to kiss my 4 and 2 year olds because they’re constantly on the go. You’re doing a great job, Dana!

What a cute girl! I hear ya on the evening fussy period. Nat had a particularly rough one last night. But it tuckered her out enough that she slept 6 hours. Give and take. Ebb and flow I guess. :)

good to know that my baby’s not the only one with newborn fussiness. I swear I do NOT remember that with the other two. My baby boy just started to smile this month too. He likes to look up at smile at me at our 3 AM diaper changes which is a nice little reward.

Oh my. That is one CUTE baby you have there! Loving all that hair! My little one was born with a head full also, and now at nine months it’s down to her nose! Too young for a haircut, so it’s barrettes to the rescue for now.

She’s really adorable! I love that spiky hair. She’s already changed so much! Sadly my daughter had none at birth and here we are at 6 months and she’s still bald.

I want your high chair! It looks so easy to clean. What kind is it? I have a Babee Tenda from when I was a baby, and I love that it’s so sturdy, but it’s got a lot of nooks and crannies for sneaky food.
